Flying SYD - NAN on Friday in Y. Booked as a classic award via QFF but is a FJ flight number.
Do I check in at the QF or Air Pacific desk? If the latter do I have priority check in as QF WP?

Can someone advise the cutoff times for checkin in NAN? I presume if makes no difference if on QF code or FJ code?

Thanks in advance.

Officially 1 hour.

Last October I did however manage to check in 7 pax while the flight was boarding (one person left 3 passports in the hotel safe and realised when we got to the airport resulting in a trip back to Denarau). They didn't kick up a fuss once we found someone to do it - the alternative for them was moving 7 pax on fully flexible and refundable J tickets :D

You can check in at the QF F counter:p How do I know?....I did so myself in March!

Thanks. It's a 9am departure and by reports the lounge is nothing special, so dont want to be there any earlier than necessary.

Correct, the lounge there is fairly small and limited in it's offerings. Not much to offer in the Terminal either....:)

Even on the FJ flight number?I'll give it a try. It has been years since I stood in a Y check in queue:shock:

I always fly through and not from SYD but found F check-in helpful (not having any luggage to check).

Last time I was in NAN they were making a thing of cut-off times and trying to make schedule. Check-in queues were completely out of control (was AU school holidays), stretching outside the terminal for a couple flights. J check-in and security/immigration lines made a huge difference.

Lounge is very small. Um, that is all.

Honestly it does what lounge access is meant for. A bit of free food and a pleasant place to read/watch tv/check email while you wait for boarding. I thought it had character.

As we know, NAN is no longer a QF lounge. But they do give entry to SG/WP (and obviously Tabua class customers). Can SG/WP access J check-in and security line if only flying Y?

I'm sure there is a thread somewhere with that info re the NAN lounge. We are in J for the return from NAN so it is only SYD check in that is a worry.

Actually mine was a QF code share so it may not be the case for you. YMMV.

Thanks for all the info. We should be ok (J class) in NAN - wonder if we use QF or FJ in BNE (outbound)?

I am going to try QF F counter. I will print my booking from the QF website, look bemused, and wave my very cute 1 YO daughter. But my guess after kpc's second post is that QF flight # = QF check in, FJ = FJ check in.
If you are in J it wont matter but we'll be in Y...
