Two of my sons are going on a holiday to LAX and then on to JFK for about a month in January. They both work for the Melbourne Football Club (and are in Kakadu right now) and are basketball players and fanatics. They have used connections to get locker room passes for several NBA games, and will have a ball. One is 21 and the other 25.

They are always difficult to buy Christmas presents for, and usually get clothes. We normally spend in the order of $300 on presents for each kid. So I was trying to think about some travel-related gift. They are flying Y QF to LAX, and I don't know about what code share they are using to connect to JFK. I noticed in another thread that passes were being sold for the QP, so is it possible to purchase guest passes to lounges in either LAX or JFK? They are sorted for luggage and various digital toys. Any suggestions?

I would probably buy them a QC15 each and an AA 30 day pass to share. Bit over budget though.

The AA 30 day pass is a really good idea. Do you have to fly on AA and have your boarding pass to use it? As I said, I'm not sure about code share arrangements. Is it always AA for QF pax in the US?

You would have to buy them one each (I thought it had a guesting capability) and you would need to be flying QF or AA.

The only issue is the AC pass starts from the day you buy it, so maybe a prepaid Visa card with $99 USD and instructions on how to spend might work....
