Anyone looked at this:

The Future by Airbus - Concept plane cabin - YouTube

It is Airbus vision for a plane in the year 2050.

Some of it is great, other stuff is just - infantile? Playing virtual golf - WTF???

I love the clear fuselage, and it would truly be awesome during a sunset flight. But wouldn´t it scare the b-jesus out of some pax??

Anyway, just thought anyone who had missed this might enjoy the video.

Cheers,
juddles.

Eh, I take these concepts with a whole Lake Eyre of salt ;) They're there to generate interest and enthusiasm for the brand. That said, some of these concepts are pretty cool. I love the walk-through plane location map.

i'd hope by 2050 we would've figured out how to fly the same way they did in the 5th element.

ie. hop into a hole, get knocked out, and awake when we get there.

or better yet, instant teleportation

Moveable Seats? - What happened to plain old seat selection!?
Clear fuselage? - I find the IFE hard enough to watch if one window within 5 rows is open!
Interactive seating map? - Is it that hard to read the numbers and letters above the seats!? I would hate having a traffic jam of noobs who need a map to tell them that their seat 99B is a **** seat at the back!
Golf course? - Don't even start me on that cough!

I would much rather the focus of the next 40 years be on getting pax from A to B faster rather than trying to make fish tanks fly!

I particularly love ( not) the amazingly advanced concept of dropping off your carryon into a slot just as you board, and some mega-million dollar sytem then conveying it to just above your seat. Wow that is useful.
