Did you get your airline Christmas cards yet?

My Qantas Card arrived in the email today. No doubt yours too. Thank you, RedRoo. I pressed the button, my name came up, the lights went on, and I sat through the music (where did they get that tune? the Microsoft corporate Christmas music themes collection?). The music went on forever as I waited for the punchline, which never came. Mrs Pineapple came out to see what the racket was. I was left feeling rather deflated, like I had sat at Xmas traffic lights:-|. What did you think?

And so far I've received nothing from Virgin Blue (the pressure's on, guys), Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France, United, who all send me their junk mail the rest of the time. This may be a Christmas blessing in disguise. Didn't expect anything from Royal Brunei or Malaysian;) and wasn't disappointed.

Meanwhile, and OT, Air Niugini destinations sent me a warning about a spam email for christmas. But no card from them.

Would you be disappointed or delighted to be ignored this time of year?

And BTW, all the best of the season to everyone at AFF. Now I'm back in the land of Oz, I look forward to meeting you again, and meeting more of you.

Cheery Xmases, Skip

Air NZ sent me a nice card (cardboard card) with merry xmas and a choice of 4 gifts as my pressy!

1. Leather 2012 diary (my choice)
2. Noise cancelling headphones
3. Kids pull along / ride on suit case - quite cool!
4. Donation to save the kids or something simlar

FWIW, Gold Elite with Airpoints is much harder to earn than QF WP - it's the [SUP]2[/SUP]/[SUB]3 [/SUB]NZ BIS Status earn component that pains.

Last year they gave the optional gift of granting *G to someone.

I gave my *G gift to SWMBO who ended up with full blooded NZ Gold including comp. upgrades. Whereas my soft landing to Gold had no upgrades.

Both will expire soon :(

Yes I received mine from Qantas too, music built up and I thought a present was going to jump out, no I was joking I though it was a nice idea, fly with them tomorrow and get my bonus points, as it before the 23rd. Havn't received a card from BA and I am booked on B/C to europe next year.!!

Wow Air NZ know how to do it!

It's called Virgin Australia now ;)

I was sent the Qantas ecard. It did did confuse me at first. I was trying to work out what the letters on the tree spelt. But they just seem to be random. Who decorates their christmas tree with a whole lot of random letters?

I received a 'special yuletide greeting' from Malaysian airlines wishing a merry christmas and a happy new year. Just a graphic, no cheesy music. Simple, but elegant, it worked well.

[Holds ear trumpet up] Eh? Whats that you say Noob?

This is the sort of clanger you can expect from someone who remembers what F was like 40 years ago:oops::lol:
