The Ākarana Lounge will be closing on the 15th June 2012. Customers may still purchase access to the Lounge for any flight departing up to and including the 15th June 2012.

If you have already purchased access to the Lounge for a flight departing from the 16th June 2012, Jetstar will contact you to arrange a refund of the entry price. Jetstar apologises for any inconvenience caused.

With the closure of the Lounge, Jetstar customers can look forward to a larger, re-invigorated departure gate that will provide greater standards of comfort.

Although in a wonderful example of how not to run a website, the old page is still available via links named ... Auckland Akarana Lounge| Jetstar
Looks like without the feed to/from QF25/QF26 this lounge has lost it's mojo ...

I don't think it ever had one

Never used it as the Akarana - only when it was a QP and dozens of times at that!

It had some sort of Mojo then ... at least the two showers did - great after a OMG o'clock arrival before onward to NZ"s nether points.

So they just have Wellington and the GC left? So much for their plans of a lounge network.

Wellington? I don't think there ever was a Wellington Jetstar lounge. There still is a Qantas Club in the international section. What was also once a Qantas Club in domestic area changed to an airport run lounge called Wild at Heart lounge, then it changed its name to Corporate Box, then it recently closed.

Shame - I have used this once when connecting from the LAN flight onwards on JQ to WLG. Nothing special but at least a door between me and them...

Perhaps that was what I was thinking of :o
