Hi
Thinking of a ski trip to Big Sky, Montanna in Jan. AA do not fly to BZE, so I need another carrier from LAX. My friend is flying on Delta and says it is part of Oneworld. I am sure its not but when I checked the Delta site it says it is a partner with Alaska Airlines. ( but not Oneworld) . Looking at Alaska site they say they are partners with AA, but no mention of Oneworld. All this is getting confusing on a Sunday morning.
I have flown Alaska before and got QF points but that was prob on a combined ticket from AKL-LAX-YVR.
Can anyone clarify this and offer best way to get points to BZE.

Delta you definitely won't get points on - they're part of SkyTeam. Have you checked the AA website closely? They'll happily sell you LAX-DFW-BZE (plus they're also the cheapest carrier for random dates in January that I looked for)

Luckily I did not rely on my friends airport code for Bozeman Montana. It is BZN, and I have heard that skiing in Belize is hot.

Re checked and no AA flights from LAZ-BZN, so I would have to use Alaska or another carrier. So how do I get points from Alaska Air?

Alaska can credit to QFF, but it would have to be on an Alaska operated flight. If it is a codeshare on another carrier, then no points.

That changes things just a bit!

If you book flights with AS on alaskaair.com, there is a dropdown to choose which FF program to credit to; QF is one of the options. Note that you will only receive points (i.e., no status credits) for flights booked with an AS code.
