I am not sure how many here are aware of Ali Express (Official Site) but I thought I might do the AFF community a favour and give it a bit of a plug - Ali Express explained here.

I have been buying from them for several years now and have honestly never had one problem. They offer fabulous value and in many cases offer free freight from China even for items priced at USD1.00 - just a whole bunch of fun buying some of these cheap gimmicky items as well as more expensive items.

Here are some of my recent purchases - mini iPhone fan - plugs into charging socket - I buy them in batches 100 mixed colours at cost ~AD1.00 delivered Oz and just use as giveaways to customers coming to our showroom - oh and also to any family / friend I come across who has iPhone:

And a bit closer look:

And yep they do actually work:

And here are are some of the iPhone6+ covers I have bought recently AD1.50 to 2.50 or so:

Endless catalogue of items at ultra cheap prices - have fun kids.

Have never really looked into AliExpress but have heard reasonable things about it - no worse than eBay.

Would AliExpress work if I wanted it shipped with in China? i.e To my Hotel.

NFI - I guess it would if you list a Chinese address. For internal China I get my Chinese girls to buy from Taobao for me and ship to their office - just hand over cash and collect the goods when I go to the office. Problem with Taobao it is all in Chinese - kunbudong - beauty of Ali Express is all in English.

Yep that's normally the way I go to through Taobao - Will give it a whirl next time I'm in China.

My teen son is quite into it. He got some Fitbit equivalents (almost!) for a few bucks and they work well. Also phone covers for the odd dollar. Shipping is not instant - takes a week or two or three but for free shipping on low value items it's hard to beat.

As The Donald once said in his Pizza Hut ad "You gotta be losing money on this!"

There is a bunch of these sights selling CCS - cheap Chinese ...

Aliexpress is a collection of sellers (much like eBay).

Also other big distributor sights like
Www.dx.com (has a small range of stock that they do quicker shipping via Toll for orders above AU$30)
www.Banggood.com crazy name but similar to dx

For higher end stuff I'd also throw in phone/camera shippers like DWI (direct site is normally cheaper than their eBay store)
www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au

I've bought a collection of stuff from.

Cheap USB cables.
Outdoor LED rope lights
LED bulbs (subsequently replaced with Phillips models from Oz)
Mobile phone holders
Bluetooth headphonea

and lots of Xiaomi stuff (one of the bigger Chinese brands)
Bluetooth speakers
Headphones
5000Mah battery pack
MI Band 2 (a $50 fitbit hr)

Ive purchased via Ali a few times, only one issue which was refunded without any issues.

Last purchase was a inflatable wedge pillow for travel because since hubby has been sleeping on a reflux wedge pillow at home, his snoring and reflux issues stopped overnight.

Now Im a happy travelling wife... only possible issue is technically its marketed as a sex toy/furniture  Came with a free gift as well
