Just had a look at all Hilton properties in Darwin for a stay later this month. I always check AARP rates and even though I'm not a member, I'll join if I see a worthwhile rate.

All AARP rates for all three properties are showing as 'Confidential Rate.' They are flexible rates and can be cancelled without penalty 1 day prior to arrival however as I'm not a member yet, I can't view the rates.

Has anyone either seen this before or is currently a member and wouldn't mind checking it out?

Cheers

If you are 50-62 the AARP can give you many benefits.AARP or Senior(over 62) rates are a lot less generous than they once were.Too many of us old codgers I fear.
PS just checked the rates. In Australia Hilton has senior as over 65.Senior rate usually the same as AAA rate.In the past senior and AARP were identical but it still comes up confidential.I ditched my AARP membership a while ago as our motoring bodies mostly are affiliated with AAA and you get very similar benefits to AARP.

Given I've progressed to the rank of ol' codger, may I ask how the AARP rates on rates as opposed to say Gov't or AAA?

As far as I can tell, one can still join the AARP even if they are under 50 (the term associate member seems to be thrown around online quite a bit).

I'm lucky enough to be able to access a corporate rate that is even lower than the AAA rate but always check just in case there's an anomaly and the AARP rate prices out lower.

Thanks everyone for the help!
