Good Morning. I am booked to fly business class to Europe (SYD-SIN-FRA-PRG; AMS-SIN-SYD) with SQ. I have QFF and Virgin Velocity memberships but don't have a Krisflyer membership. I mainly fly QF and don't have many Velocity points. Should I have the points for my upcoming flights with SQ allocated to my Virgin Velocity account or is it better for me to open up a Krisflyer account given recent concerns regarding Virgin? Thank you for your help.

That depends... are you aiming for points (which you can cash in for free flights or upgrades), or status credits (which total up each year for giving you silver/gold/whatever membership - so priority checkin, extra baggage, lounge access etc?

Do you think you will be doing more flying with SQ or VA in the future?

Personally I would credit them to Virgin as they don't expire as long as you have some activity on your account every 3 years.

But I also am working up the status tree with Virgin so that's my two main motivations.
