Amex 50,000 MR point promotion & How much is an MR point worth?

Amex have a promotion currently with a daily prize of 50,000 MR points. Each use of your Amex card score an entry for that day.

Looking at the promotion's Terms and Conditions, I noted the following:

6. There will be 92 daily prizes of 50,000 points to be given away.
...

11. Total maximum prize pool is valued at up to A$55,200.

So that's 4,600,000 being (nominally?) valued at up to AUD55,200.

A couple of quick calculations gives the following values:

• 83.33 points per AUD, and
• 1.2 cents per point
