I plan on booking flights. Is SYD to PER allowed? What are possible international flights from Sydney?

SYD-PER would be allowed.

If you have the Plat Reserve card, from SYD to any non-stop destination served by the Virgin Australia group to New Zealand. If you have the lower kind of Plat credit card (can't remember its name), I think you do not have this option, but it may have changed.

Oh thanks. Mine is Plat Reserve.

I'm hoping to get two tickets over two years' benefit.

yes I usually call and ask them to extend one year 2 mths into the next year( which they always do)and then book both together and there is a tool on the amex site that tells you where you can fly.

I have booked two with one card before nearing the year change over, but before the actual change over as well.

Sorry to be a pain. But is anyone able to list the cities one could book from Sydney on the Edge card?

My laptop died the other day and cannot view on the amex site due to no flash on my phone.

The missus wants to know if Cairns is on the list of cities.

Hey freddy...

From Sydney you can fly to;

Hervey Bay, Maroochydore, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Ballina/Byron, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Canberra, Launceston, Albury, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Hope this helps!

Awesome. Thanks for the list. Was driving me nuts trying to get the map to work.

Looks like Cairns is a no go but Brisvegas or Hervey Bay should please the boss.

Can do

Hervey Bay
Marrochydore
Brisbane
Cooloogatta
Byron Bay
etc.

On check in, ensure you quote partner frequent flyer programs e.g. Etihad Guest, Singapore Krisflyer, Air New Zealand Airpoints to earn some air miles.
There is a clause that you can't earn on Velocity Frequent Flyer but the system will credit air miles to the partner airline programs.

It worked for me when I redeemed SYD - ADL and quoted Singapore Airlines Krisflyer on check in using the check in kiosk.

I quote my VA number via the call centre to get platinum seat selection.
