AMEX plat charge card questions

I've been investigating the amex plat charge card. I see that the bonus offers include SPG and PC, and the website stuff seems to imply that you get gold status in both of these programs. Can anyone with the card confirm if that is correct or not?

With the Priority club write up is does also say that you need to requalify, so perhaps it is just the first year.

Even if paying the full $900 fee it looks pretty good, but there was some mention of it being available for $600 in the first year.

You do get Gold with both Prority Club and Starwood.

I don't think you need to requalify (with hotel nights) for the second year. Keeping your Amex membership should be sufficient. Someone else may be able to confirm that...

There are other benefits that I use more than the PC and SPG membership. I certainly think its worthwhile.

I applied for everything they offered with the Amex. I have used road side assistance, Concierge services travel services , I make the most of it.

If you use the hotels in the program you will get good value from it. I am a big Shangri la fan so I may get to the minimum required but if not I will ask for the card again.
I basically got the PL Amex mainly for the Insurance policy, I have now had my card around 4-5 years and never had a problem.
