Amex Platinum card access to virgin lounge

Amex Plt Aus card members get access. But I hold a USA Amex Plt. Will the lounge know the difference and any problems gaining access?

I am in the exact same boat. I have never tried it as I have been VA plat for years, and now gold, but I doubt they have any mechanism to check. Love to know the definite answer though.
