AMEX Platinum Charge Benefits - Q&A

If you like/use Aesop products in your bathroom at home, the $75 could get you very close to two refills of hand wash (500ml each). That's what I'm going to be spending my credit on, as would have otherwise had to buy from Aesop directly.
You have the best smelling hands this side of the Tasman my friend. The digital marketing team at NetaPorter is rethinking their models as I type l!

My charge says ‘MPORTER MILAN’ on 1/2 no credit yet will need to call Amex about it. Has never taken this long to credit.

I like what I got though the ‘budget’ was quite limited & I wouldn’t have shopped there otherwise.

Mine also says MPORTER MILAN and no credit as yet. It's going to be a pain and a bit of a disincentive to use in the future if this is going to be an ongoing benefit.

Net-A-Porter is doing their business in AUD so Amex systems are clearly issuing credits per the normal process. Guessing they are hoping 'we' forget to manually ask for the Mr. Porter cashbacks from Euro terminals as their systems are not automatically picking them up.

I had no issues as my purchase came from Hong Kong.

Couldn't use the first order discount though, guess you need to purchase only certain products or hit a minimum spend.

I just rang to follow up the Mr Porter credit not being applied and the consultant arranged to have it manually applied. Hopefully they get it sorted out for future credits.

just used their lifestyle services to book the special amex table at a restaurant...first booking in over a year
Excellent .. not to pry but is it that you couldn't get a table (because of capacity constraints and Amex can secure 1 or 2 tables at many top restos) that you decided to use the service or was it just easier to go through them?

Just a why not use the perk. Didn't try direct this place has that special table for Amex

Amex Lifestyle services got me into Agnes Brisbane the weekend before last, when the Agnes website showed no availability online. It was a very late booking but I was willing to take anything. Agnes isn't part of The Dining Collection.

Also requested two seats at Firedoor and was told they're fully booked until Feb 2022 but am on some cancellation standby list. Firedoor is on The Dining Collection.

Amex seems to be flip-flopping on introducing a charge for guests to enter the Centurion lounge if you spend under 75k annually. They updated their T&C, then reverted them, but an Amex spokesperson confirmed the change to TPG.

Unsure if there's a equivalent AUD spend figure.
