Just noticed something annoying with the Platinum Charge Card Insurance.

It doesn't cover Rental Car Insurance (Loss Damage Waiver) unless the rental takes place in your country of residence. My Amex Explorer Black however covers me around the world! Bit disappointing as the fee for the Platinum Charge is 3x the Explorer.

Anyone aware if this is a new "feature" or have I just missed the clause in the past?

I think you've misread the policy.

The journey (your trip) most commence and end in your country of residence. The rental can take place anywhere in the world, as long as it occurs 150km or more from your residence.

I think you've misread the policy.

You are probably right but it's very unclear and poorly written compared to what's laid out in the Explorer insurance. It uses the term "Covered rental trip" rather than "covered trip" which to me leaves it very open. It also defines the term "Geographical Scope" but never uses it outlining the cover.
