It was actually a good post. They failed to mention that the best transfer partner is US MR points though

i've also noticed Amex has now tweaked (increased) the number of minimum points for transfer partners

That is actually the GOAT of all transfer partners. One can only wish Amex has a few 1:1 transfer partners, instead they keep devaluing the more. I would even take more transfer partners like Aeroplan, Avianca and AAdavantage. Those programs have some great sweet spots

Was pretty useful actually. I didnt know I could go Marriot -> Aeroplan so learned something new

The rate is really bad, but it is an option to go from Marriot to many other programs

There's some good info in there. And then there's this, regarding the good points for QR:

Pros:

• Very good reward seat availability on Qatar Airways flights, especially in premium cabins.

Presumably not referring to outbound from Australia.

Diabolical via QFF but I just did an ADL-LON search on QR for Feb 2025 and multiple options

There was a report here too recently of a F reward out of SYD. Maybe the flood gates have opened.

Just a data point confirming CX transfer times. Was booking a J award today (great availability by the way). Amex transfer came through instantly while I still had the award search open
