Amsterdam accommodation recommendation 5 nights with access to International rail

We are travelling to Amsterdam in September 2016 and would appreciate any recommendations on best locations for accommodation that will provide close access to metro and the International Rail stations. Airbnb or 3 Star Hotels within 20 minutes (Metro travel time) of City Centre would be ideal.

We always stay here - Home Great little studio & neighborhood with shops, markets etc. Right near tram line with easy access to airport rail & Central Station.

Ibis has two hotels on the “airport site” with a free shuttle, running to and from, about every 20 minutes.

It is a short trip on the train from the airport to Amsterdam’s central station.

The Ibis Budget meets my needs but the other one on the same site might suit you better.

I know this is a strange thing to say about airport food but if you are not too impressed with the Ibis Budget’s offering catch the shuttle to the airport where there are some nice reasonably priced eateries.

The public transport system is pretty good.Just stay near any tram stop.
Early this year we stayed at the Marriott-not a recommendation though we got great service-but just to point out it was close to a tram stop and also near hop on/off bus and canal cruise.So very convenient.Also a short walk to the Rijksmuseum which is a must.
So pick out something you like and just make sure a tram stop is reasonably close.

Accom booked near a bus stop 15minutes from CBD..... Buses good right?
