Annual Single Trip Travel Insurance

Is this available anywhere for anything like the annual multi trip price?

I'm looking for cover for a 12-month RTW trip.

I usually just get TID single trip for these but it costs about 3 times the annual multi trip cost so I thought I'd check if anyone here knows a better way.

I'm pretty sure it will never be the same price, because the average amount the companies spend on paying out will be much higher for the 12 month trip. It'd be very unlikely many people are using the multi-trip policy for 12 back to back month trips, so they have less time being covered. I'd also expect certain types of expensive events are much more common on long trips than shorter ones.

Last time I looked, most year policies were 1500-2500 for a couple, depending on what you want covered. Just remember AFF gold members get 20% off Columbus Direct, so they're definitely worth checking out. The $50 fee for AFF gold would easily be covered by how much you'd save, if they cover what you need and aren't on the expensive side of what you need

I think what you need is a so-called backpackers policy, they are usually rather cheap and cover longer periods of continuous travel.
