Domest Fares Update11 March 2010
Effective immediately, Qantas has updated its website with Changing Seasons Sale fares on selected markets:

Sale period:
Wednesday 10 March - Monday 15 March 2010

Travel period:
Tuesday 20 April - Wednesday 23 June 2010
Tuesday 20 July - Wednesday 15 September 2010*
Tuesday 12 October - 15 Wednesday December 2010*

Tuesday 20 April - Thursday 27 May 2010 HBA markets only
Tuesday 20 July - Wednesday 1 September 2010 HBA markets only
Tuesday 12 October - Thursday 9 December 2010 HBA markets only

New fare levels are incl of GST, taxes & surcharges.

Just got it. Was waiting for a deal to go to MEL with the Mrs for the anniversary again. $85 one way, beats going Vermin, TT or DeathStar.

Also if you can get $135 SYD-TSV (with BNE stop) it's a cheap way to get some SCs. $270 for 50 SCs isn't bad. Probably other runs in there as well but I haven't looked.
 
I see. Was hoping this year there are cheap fares during the holidays. :-|
 
Generally there never are any sales around this time as it's peak season..
The cheapest prices that you would get are the ones you'd see right now!

Of course, I did manage to score very cheap sale fares for the current schools holidays. But I think that is very much the exception. There is nothing showing up for the next school holidays and I have big gaps in the cheap flights for October and November. I think the cheap flights I've got for the next 2 weeks were very much because of poor forward sales earlier in the year. I would guess the lack of sales for the rest of the year clear shows that forward sales are probably good. Hence confirming generally no sales during school holidays
