Hi, I am an Aussie living in Canada under a 2 year working holiday visa, and I was wanting to visit the USA. I have already traveled there when I first arrived and I handed in my Visa Waiver form before moving to Canada and before the 90 days.

I was wondering if I flew to Europe for a few days and then came back to Canada, would my Visa Waiver Period be reset as I have left North America? And is it okay if I tried entering the USA via Canada?

Thanks for any advice!

You would have to check the rules but I don't think you can enter the USA from Canada using the VWP. I think you would be okay to visit say the UK and then enter the US via JFK. You could then return to Canada and enter back into the US within the 90 day period. However, this is only my thoughts and I could be wrong, with you already having a working visa for Canada so you might be better checking with the US Embassy where you are living.

You should be fine. I entered USA multiple times when I had my Canada VWP. As long as you hand in the stapled slip before you leave the country, that's their record you have left.

There is some useful info here:

Visa Waiver Program

I believe the VWP program states that if you enter the US under the VWP time spent in Canada is counted as if you re in the US but as long as you leave the North American continent (as geographically defined by the Americans) you should be fine.
