Hi

I am flying AA192 overnight from LAX to BOS. It arrives at 06.30, I have a meeting later that morning but the hotel I am staying in doesn't have an early check-in option. As a OW Platinum is there a lounge (with shower) that I can access after arriving? Or are the lounges in BOS for departures only?

Thanks!

OneWorld status-based lounge access is only available prior to departing flights, not on arrival.

You may be able to find a pay-for-use lounge at BOS that has shower facilities, but not one that provide access based on OneWorld status.

As per previous post, oneworld access is based on departure.

However, you may wish to nicely ask, but don't be surprised if denied.

Note AA has 'its own' terminal at BOS and the only airside lounge available is the A/C.

There are other airside lounges in the other secure areas that have agreements with PP, but you generally need to be travelling from the specific terminals to get airside.

In 2006 (so it may have changed), we flew the red-eye from LAX to BOS (OW E), explained ourselves and asked if we could use the facilities, and they were fine with it. Be polite and ask nicely and explain the flight you've just been on.

Maybe your hotel would have a gym or fitness centre with shower attached that they may be prepared to let you use prior to checkin?
