I understand that Royal Brunei J passengers can access this lounge in MEL.

Have only been able to find one review on line from 2011 and it was very ordinary.
Has anyone been there recently and is it worth a visit?

The CX website says little about it apart from location and facilities. Doesn't even mention food or drinks. Thanks in advance. JoyV

We were there yesterday - what an ordinary little lounge. The work stations are quite good - desk and mac computer. The seating area is small and so-so. The food is very ordinary. The sandwiches are abysmal. An occasional steamer of dumplings appeared - passable. The wine - very ordinary. A selection of spirits & mixers. The bathrooms are almost the only saving grace - they are quite nice. Overall, this really is a waste of time & space. Spend a little extra & have a great glass of wine & a really nice snack at Bistro Vue. The seating area is better, the view is better, the service is better. I am really sorry we didn't try and get into the QP - both of us are Gold.

Have used this lounge twice in the last few months prior to flying CX to HKG. I haven't been to the QF lounge at MEL international so I can't compare. I thought this lounge was not too bad - fairly quiet (as it is reasonably small) with some moderately tasty asian food (dim sum, pork buns, laksa) and the usual range of sandwiches, wine, beer and bubbly. I was hungry and the food hit the spot. There is a good range of newspapers. If you need to pass an hour or 90 minutes then I think it does the job passably, and it is quite near the CX departure gate. They walk around and let you know when they want you to board the CX flight which is useful if you tend to lose track of time like I do!
