Any interest in Perth people getting together for December drinks?

I know where a bit into December and things usually get busy, but the Perth people haven't gotten together for a while for a drink, any interest for pre-xmas drinks at the The Royal or somewhere??

I can't do anything as I'm heading to Antarctica this afternoon for ten days and don't get home until the night of 22 Dec.

I'd be keen. But to be honest I'm not the biggest fan of the royal. I have no other constructive contribution in terms of venue, so won't cough if it ends up being the royal. Not sure if there will be time now prior to Christmas? I am back in perth on Monday, and have a dinner on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday so far.

It is looking pretty crowded social calendars make a get together before Christmas a bit tricky.
The Royal is ok in the sense of just ok.
So many places are too noisy to talk or listen in the bar scene.

Correction! Make that the night of 26 Dec. I got back in port at Ushuaia from the Antarctic (sensational!) yesterday morning to find an ATC strike in Argentina had caused flight chaos. (And Latin countries do chaos really well!).

Was due to fly USH-EZE yesterday afternoon, overnight in Buenos Aires and go EZE-SCL this morning to catch QF28 SCL-SYD 1335 today.

No way! Couldn't get out of USH till this morning; QF28 today has long gone and I'm only as far as EZE. Best I could get is QF28 on Xmas day as Monday's was chockers. Have to kill the next three days in Santiago.

The Louis Roederer champagnes currently going down fast in the LAN lounge at EZE is the only positive thing in the last 36 hours.

The only other potentially positive thing is that EF is showing plenty of J inventory on the 25th so my chance of an UPG from PE looks good, whereas it looked a total no-go today.

It will be the first time I've flown on Xmas day.
