Any OneWorld airline that will status match VA Platinum?

I'm travelling with friends in February/March '17 on LAN and they have Virgin Plat status but zilch on OneWorld. As a QF Plat, I have lounge access, but they won't (travelling whY, bless 'em). Of course I can only guest 1 person and they won't get priority boarding (important in Sth America, in my experience).

So I'm pretty keen to hear of any One World Airline that will do a status match (not status challenge) to Virgin for them.

LAN seem pretty generous with status matches but you need to have a previously flown ticket on LAN.. Not sure if they would accept an upcoming flight instead.

They do give status matches sometimes, but you need to read the T&Cs carefully and make sure they meet them before applying. The main catch is that you need to be a resident of either Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Norway (or the USA if you have a confirmed airberlin long-haul flight booking). I don't see why your friends couldn't register with a European address and try their luck?

Getting back to LAN, does any-one have an e-mail where you request the status match? I've seen several sites about the LATAM Status Match (including Statusmatcher) but not the operative contact e-mail.
