Any seat award plus AA info

I'll be booking one Q any seat ward in J going CNS/SYD/LAX return later next month (after 24th) for travel about same time next year, I will buy Mrs Lime a seat later (not enough points for two in J).


How do I get the 2 seats linked on my QFF page?.


Also will book 4 flight sectors in US as YUP fares, should I buy them off AA in OZ?.

My understanding is that you need to call QF to link the two bookings, although I haven't ever needed to do this myself.

Also will book 4 flight sectors in US as YUP fares, should I buy them off AA in OZ?.

If the flights you want are available off the Australian AA website, then go ahead and book them there. However, if you're searching for more convoluted YUP routings, you may find that they're not listed on the Australian AA site, while they are on the US AA site. In that case, you'll need to use a US credit card or provide a US street address when booking on the US AA site; it appears that any valid US street address will do.

Call QF to "link" the bookings.

They are not actually truly "linked" - just cross referenced.

The general advice around here is to check both the AU and US AA sites as the fares and routes do vary.

That said - I pretty much don't bother with the AU site as I'm yet to actually find it competitive.

I have friends in the US who could book and pay AA and I'll fix em up later.

Mrs Lime says buy her a PE ticket and upgrade her to J with points and she'll have extra $4 grand to spend when we get there!., think its too risky to get a J that way though, not sure if it helps much but as I'm SG she is SS and she could be SG by then might work?.
