Any Seat Award when there is a sale fare

Hi

When QF has an international fare sale eg SYD- HKG return for say $888 does the Any Seat Award points required reduce during the sale period for the same time of travel?

From my checking during the last sale it seems that there was no difference in points required for ASA despite the paid fare dropping by about $200 for the sale....so threfore there is no need to wait for a paid seat sale to book an ASA

Can anyone confirm thsi?

An Any Seat Award will still be the same price, however a Points + Pay booking might be cheaper.

e.g. SYD-HKG Any Seat Award is 110,119. SYD-HKG Points + Pay Award is 110,557.

It is after 1am here, so I am tired. But I read this line 4 or 5 times playing "spot the difference" and I failed (Except the points)
