As Eva Air flies direct from BKK to VIE, I was researching the possibility of booking with them but read that it’s not that straightforward. For example, you need to have 50% of the points required to purchase a ticket before you can buy the rest of the points, even when they’re on sale.

Austrian Airlines seems easier, but I was wondering if anyone here has successfully booked with either of these two airlines.

These flights used to be available with Lifemiles. Not sure if they are still an option (or Aeroplan)

FWIW (probably not much at present) I booked Eva LHR-BKK earlier this year using Lifemiles.
They're currently showing availability BKK-VIE, but uncertain whether it can actually be booked.

Thanks guys, on Aeroplan or seat.aero it is showing sometimes economy but never premium economy or business direct. Sometimes business with stopovers.
Also, when searching on Google flights when I find EVA air flight in business and then switch to premium economy that flight disappear.
I ll have a look in Lifemiles

Like others, I booked EVA earlier this year through Lifemiles (AMS-BKK in my case). Was nice, but obviously availability for BKK-VIE depends when you're looking to fly.

I have successfully used LM to book TPE-BNE in business class.

Aeroplan does have EVA, but I’ve rarely seen anything from BKK to Europe. I think I maybe saw one flight on one day.

I’d be surprised if you can actually book the lifemiles seats if they are showing and if not cross-matched with Aeroplan and United (and even then…)
