With the 747ER on an almost daily run to PER this week I am surprised no one has commented on scoring a F seat!

What flight numbers? Didn't think the DOM terminals had the aerobridges for this?

The sure do, seems people have forgotten the 743s already, sigh, ;)

According to the Qantas Source:

22nd September 2010 - 747 VH-OEH on Domestic Duties.

Boeing 747-400ER VH-OEH operated today as QF777 Melbourne - Perth and QF776 Perth - Melbourne in place of the usual Airbus A330. Tomorrow’s flights are also scheduled for Boeing 747-400 operation.

19th September 2010 - 747 VH-OEI on Domestic Duties.

Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEI today operated QF577 Sydney - Perth and QF566 Perth - Sydney in place of the usual Airbus A330.

17th September 2010 - 747 VH-OEF on Domestic Duties.

Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEF today operated QF577 Sydney - Perth and QF566 Perth - Sydney in place of the usual Airbus A330.

The QANTAS Source.

I dont know what others think but I still love the 744s, SQ even operated one last week on a PAX service to MEL :)

Perth has had 747 Domestic for a long time, just not recently. They all use the aerobridges.

It is funny, the flight path is close top my office, and I noticed the 747's coming in the last few days.

Must be either footy fever, or maybe maintenance job on. QF stopped the 747's a long time ago, as they were so unreliable. Mainly 767 and 333's these days, with the occasional 73x for those that like torture.

Do we know if they’re evening using that cabin? Maybe someone can boot up EF and see what seats are available on a service scheduled for a 747?

I get the feeling there was no PAX upstairs though.

Any ideas why they are using 744s? Are some of the 330s/763s out for maintenance? Loadings (seems unlikely)?

Mind if I ask which suburb you're based in?

I'm over in Rivervale, and I have a perfect view right outside the window for RWY 03 approaches and RWY 24 takeoffs that track along the Swan/Perth Waters.

Sadly, been working on a really nasty report the last week so there's been no time to stop and look at the 'birds'. :(

This looks to be a 2 class bird with 6 seats across in row 3 and 4

Yep, no F today as OJE operated the service, unlike the ERs of the past few days. I bet the pax enjoyed the skybeds regardless.
