This post is to see if there are any AFF members interested in joining my wife and I in November 2018 to tour the lesser known Islands of Japan in a small group of 16. We have paid a deposit for the tour but the operator still needs 4 couples, or 8 singles prepared to share, to confirm. The tour will most likely fill soon however it would be nice to meet some fellow AFF members on the off chance that this is something that would be of interest and you have the time and money.
We did a Winter Festivals Tour to Hokkaido with the same company (Feb 2017), and it was excellent. So we’d like to see more of Japan, particularly the areas seldom visited by tourists. The tour is “Untouched Japan - exploring Kyushu, Shikoku and Shodoshima Islands” operated by Tours Gallery/Destination Management based in Brisbane. The link is Escorted Japan Tours small group Off The Beaten Track.
The owner of the business leads all of their tours and his joint tour leader is a delightful Japanese/Australian lady who translated, photographed and generally looked after us around Hokkaido.
The tour is not cheap and is plus airfares, but it is very inclusive. We have booked on the new Qantas direct service to Osaka for our flights. Just to confirm that we have no financial interest in Tours Gallery/Destination Management, only our enjoyment as a guest on the Hokkaido tour. Apologies in advance if this is not the type of post for the section.
