Just wondering if anyone has noticed "The Pam Ann Show" on Comedy Channel (Foxtel, Austar). Pam Ann is a creation of Caroline Reid, an Australian standup comedian who runs on an airline theme. Much of her comedy is quite abrasive, but she has a very staunch following amongst my friends that work in the airline industry (as opposed to those that only fly in them!).

She's hillarious. Also on Youtube. She did a great promo with BA - which is also on Youtube. One of her quotes = "Tullamarine, the ancient aboriginal term for get me the f#$% out of here" . . .

I've watched the show before, as well as seen her on other shows. Not much of a fan, she's just too odd for me. And that's saying something.

I love her!! Will follow her show on comedy channel for sure. Some of her jokes are a bit repetitive though, went to one of her live shows in London and if you follow Edinburgh and Beyond you'd know the routine she was going to perform. My favourite was the Tullamarine joke as cited above.

"So 2 weeks ago I was in Melbourne, Austryyyylia, at an airport called Tullamarine which is an ancient Aboriginal word for: get me the coughk out of here!! Qantas cabin crew were walking past, banging on about their prestine safety record, tick tock.."

I also have her Fly me OneWorld Alliance DVD:

As a SQ FA: "we're going down the 'wong' runway. ooh I must get my Gucci handbag from first class."

As an easyjet FA with an Essex girl accent: "Tracy, what's Scottish Pound? Scottish Pound! What's Scottish Pound? We don't take foreign currency yea?"

Some indian pax: "I am fingering the Flight Attendant [whilst dinging call bell] but she's not coming!"

Nothing beats her live shows though, they're a riot!

Yes, I think she is a hoot too!

But what part of Essex, I wonder? It's a big county.

I agree that her live shows are far better. Several of my friends have been to the taping of this season of Pam Ann. One of them that works for JQ got an absolute bagging, but it didn't appear on the show.

You've only got one more episode of this season, I believe, this Wednesday, but if you're clued in enough (i.e. USENET or Channel BT), there are ways of sourcing the previous episodes. PM me if you need to.
