My "QFF" year ends October 31st.

Normally I have received renewal QFF cards about eight weeks before then in early September.

This year I have received nothing so far.

Has anyone else with an October Expiry date received their 2011 cards yet?

I did think the delay may have been due to the new RFID components but am getting concerned that perhaps my renewal was "lost in the mail" somewhere.

Not exactly the same, but I started the silver comp thread about 12 days ago and haven’t received any cards in the mail yet, so I think there might be a lot of cards "missing".

There has been delays for the last few months with cards being sent for a change of status, generally around 4 weeks, I wonder if the annual renewals are also being caught in the workload behind NGCI.

My Anniversary date was September 30th, haven't received my new card yet.

Dropped from Platinum to Gold :(

MyQFF anniversary is also 31 October and I haven't received a new card.

I did receive a chip card earlier in the year as part of the PER trial but expiry date is still 31/10.

Odd, so my anniversary is Oct 31 but nothing in the mail. But I ordered a replacement card a couple weeks back and received it within a couple days. Maybe they've changed the timings. Either way, still stuck with a non-chipped card that expires in a little over 2 weeks.

I wonder if the NGCI chip in the card expires when the card does, or whether you can continue to use it when dropping back to NB? I fear it may be the latter.

Just like the magnetic strip currently on the cards.

Does that stop working, you didn’t exactly say?

It would seem like a better idea for the chip to just register a number and the system to work out applicable status, rather than one level cad wont work after you’ve been promoted to a new level sort of arrangement.

I was thinking mine hadn't turned up yet with an expiry date of Oct 31 it should be here. Then I looked at my card and it says expiry Oct 31 2011. I got my new card months ago with the chip as I'm a "frequent traveller to Perth". Not that I've been to PER in six months but there you go.

In any case I'll get Gold shortly once I nab those final 45 SCs as detailed in another thread.

The old cards still work for quickcheck, if that is what is being asked.

When I changed status in May 28 and then 20 June I received the new cards within about 10 days. I am sure there is a back log and maybe some process that they are working on to issue the new cards.

I guess the important thing is getting the new card before your year expires.

Unusually, this is not the case this year; after this month, my next booked QF flights are not until February.

As for flying in general, after some AirNZ ones in early Nov., I have no more until Dec, again on NZ. Since I have KC/*G access I won't be looking for 'any-time access'.
