I've had credit cards/accounts with a number of the main banks/institutions and I have to say that the ANZ call centre hold time is pretty bad. The 3 times I've called to active my card and setup other account info I've waited on hold for longer than 10 minutes. No "you are 5th in the queue", or an ability to leave a message for them to call you back, or a message saying "wait time is 15 minutes".
I've always found it interesting the various call centre hold messages. Some like ANZ have nothing, and others like MediBank private will say they can call you back if you leave your details. While others answer quite quickly.
I just asked the call centre person if there was a faster number to call for 'black' card holders to see if that helped at all but they said the general number is what everyone has to call.
