ANZ cards overseas transaction fee increasing

A little bit of paper included with my most recent statement, informing me that the overseas transaction fee is increasing for the already extortionate 3% to 3.5%.

I fear this is going to quickly become the new norm and spread like a cancer to other card providers.

Isn’t the simple answer that if you’re using a card with an international transaction fee, you’re doing it wrong?

(he says having just opened the ANZ Rewards Black with said fee )
