ANZ Rewards ceasing transfers to QFF

Looks like the business of stopping transfers from general rewards cards across to QFF is spreading. I guess Qantas really are wanting to get rid of these.

(But you will be able to get Velocity points instead!)

Changes are being made to the frequent flyer redemption options on ANZ Rewards Visa.

We are happy to announce that from 1 October 2008, ANZ Rewards Visa cardholders will be able to redeem their Reward Points for Velocity Points in Velocity Rewards, the loyalty program partnered by Virgin Blue.

Please note as of 5 pm AEST 30 September 2008, ANZ Rewards Visa cardholders will no longer be able to redeem Reward Points for Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

Very greedy indeed. The way it is going there may not be many credit card reward programs left that allow transfers to QFF other than the QF branded credit cards.

All the cards that directly sweep across to QFF seem safe at the moment. The issue iswith cards that accumulate points in anothr scheme, to be tranferred later.
