Applying SWU to AA72/73

As a last hurrah to my short -lived EXP status, and to kick off the 2016 status year with my required 4~ on AA to chase PLT, I thought it might makes sense to do a quick weekend turnaround trip to the west coast for ~USD 1000 in Feb. I have SWUs to burn but what are my chances of it actually clearing given the popularity of the route? 26 hours in business class would be bearable but economy would not be pretty. Thanks.

Still way too early to tell. Given the response by AA PLT/EXPs to the DFW-HKG flights, QF will take a hit unless the JV is quickly approved.
