Hi All,

I'm arriving into LAX on QF11.

Are there any priority immigration lines for WP's flying qantas?

I'm connecting onto a domestic AA flight

Sorry if its been asked.

No organised priority for WP.

But, depending on when your AA flight leaves, you can approach staff there and ask for an express customs pass.

There was a recent thread discussing this. From memory, it's something like 90 mins to your next flight will get you a pass. However, you do need to prove that your next flight leaves then.

No, there's no priority queue. How long is your connection?

If you have a tight connection, try to get off the plane as quickly as you can, and then walk as fast as you can to the immigration hall. Every person you pass is one less person to queue behind.

When you get to immigration, pay attention to where they want you to queue -- I assume you're not travelling on a US passport. You probably won't have much choice, but you obviously want to pick the shortest line. But some lines may run slower, particularly if interpretation assistance is needed for many people.

Once you're through immigration, you're at the mercy of the baggage handlers. Once you do get your bag, there are again a number of queues to choose from, but no priority queue of any kind. If your bag is tagged through to your destination, you can then proceed to the bag drop area, before heading outside to the volunteers who'll offer to direct you to terminal 4 (it's to the right) before asking for a donation.

Really, LAX is a matter of luck. I've been stuck in immigration for an hour, and another time got through quickly, and managed to make a connection in around 45 minutes after QF94 was delayed due to a diversion to SYD for a medical emergency. But I was travelling with only carry-on that time, and it made all the difference.

If you can show that you have a connecting flight there are announcements and a person handing out Express cards at LAX.
I came off QF93 and got into the Express line in error for a minute or two.
It is about 90 minutes but you could try for a card if your timing is 120 minutes for your next flight.
Lining up in the Express lane without a card definitely will not work.
