There are quite a few AFF members who buy Avios from British Airways.

As an alternative, Finnair Plus also sells Avios. From time to time, there are also discounts or bonuses available - such as the current bonus available until 23 February 2025 of up to 40%.

You can transfer Avios 1:1 between your Finnair and BA accounts.

Alternatively, you could redeem them directly through Finnair Plus - which could be a better deal if you want to book a Finnair flight. Finnair also has a minimum award seat guarantee for its own members, and Finnair Plus is currently the only way to book Finnair Premium Economy with points.

I can confirm the part about AY Premium Economy being available only via Finnair Plus.

I ran across plenty of PE options from Helsinki to Japan (HND, NRT, KIX, NGO) in late July, when Mrs GO and Miss GO need to make their way back to Oz from two weeks in Europe. Timing-wise, HEL-NGO worked better for us than either Tokyo or Osaka and I managed to get 2 x PE seats with AY Avios. No other OW airline would show PE availability on AY, so it's still a little secret.

As luck would have it, I left just 500 Avios in my Finnair Plus account, so I might just have to take a look at this offer now.
