...via la difference.
Lindsay, Did you actually mean "by way of the difference" or did you omit a v from viva and really mean "Long live the difference"?

You're correct serfty - poor typing, too quick.

Tattooed mum 'belittled' by Jetstar
February 7, 2006 - 2:34PM

A Jetstar passenger says she was made to feel "like a leper" when flight attendants forced her to cover up a sexually explicit tattoo while she was on one of their flights.
This woman would do it tough in Japan. Bars, gyms, onsens (hot spring baths) often don't admit customers with tattoos. With gyms, application forms often specifically ask if the applicant has any tattoos. If you have one - it's automatic rejection. If you're at certain bars or most onsens & someone spots a tattoo on you, you'll be asked to leave immediately.

BlacKnox, is that anything to do with yakuza, or just a social/cultural thing?

For older Japanese, tattoo bearers are still seen to be connected with criminal gangs, whether the yakuza (mafia), motorbike hoodlems or other "undesirable" groups. Younger people have a more liberal view of them.

I prefer the article on the SMH site here which even shows part of the tattoo in question: http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/tatts-airraising/2006/02/06/1139074171403.html

Hmmm... it's difficult to see the tattoo but I get the impression that describing the image as an "embrace" is perhaps an understatement. :D

Anyway... this sort of thing is great entertainment.

And where is shillard when you need him?

Offence should be freely given to those foolish enough to take it.

As for anyone 'offended' by (from what I've seen in the press) a pretty piss-poor representation of a couple having a shag on some boiler's shoulder - try reading my website.

You'll likely spontaneously combust.

The sort of oxygen-thieves who get upset over this sort of rubbish are small people with small minds who live in small worlds.

I'm flying DeathStar next Friday - I might wear my Six Day War T-shirt and see if the crew object.

It has a giant blue Star of David, with (in Arabic) the words:

'Six Days, cough!' emblazoned across it.

Actually looking at the PIX, they must be doing it tough Mackay. (As I noted elsewhere) maybe a paper bag wold have been more appropriate ... :P

Actually it is one of the most prosperous cities in Australia at present, with the Holden dealer being the bigest seller of HSV models in Australia...

Cool - evidence of cashed-up Bogans.

I eagerly await the release of the Holden Bogan: 5.7L V8, 6 Speed Manual, Red or Blue Flanellete metallic paint, 'no root, no ride' etched into the bootlid, every ACDC track on the built-in MP3 player...

LMAO!!! Shillard, I just knew you would be able to sum this up so succinctly.

SMH: The tattoo shows a man sitting behind a woman, who is lying back and propped up on her elbows. He holds one arm across her breasts and another over her crotch. "It's not sexual," Ms Bull said.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAA!!!
