This is the reason my standard order is always two coffees, rather than get one, drink it and then line up for a second.

Although these days I more often have my Contigo spill proof brew mug with me and just hand that over. As it’s about the size of 1.5 coffee cups it works well.
 
Agree, i always end up getting two as the cups are too small. It would be nice to at least have an option of a larger cup - would save on lots of washing up.
 
It was interesting that earlier this year, I ordered an ice latte in QP at MEL. The barista took his time as it was quiet and also asked for feedback as I was apparently the first to ever ask him for one.

He told me that it was something that the team rarely gets asked for even though it's pretty simple to make.
