I have received the offer from AM saying I can register for the offer from finance partners (credit cards) and transfer 30,000 AMs before June 30 to turn my pre Jan 2020 points into post Jan 2022 points giving me an extra 18 months.
The offer is ambiguous to say the least and I am not sure if I have get a new card, or simply transfer form an existing ...say AMEX.....to meet the requirements.

The AU cards for the offer have just appeared (or I didn't see them) so getting a new card and doing the spend and transfer within the next 30 days is virtually impossible.

I can't seem to get a response form them via enquiry form.

Anyone have any idea?

UPDATE!
The promotion is that you transfer 30K points from an EXISTING card to the program. No need for a new card. I don't know why they just didn't say so in writing.

NOTE that they will also offer you the option of extending expiring points for 12 months at no charge!
Great result.

Hi. Is that offer to extend expiring points for 12 months free of charge only if you transfer those 30000 points, or separate?

Separate. I read elsewhere that the extension had happened to someone else ....unrelated to the new offer.
I simply asked for clarity on the new offer; once that was sorted out he said I could "apply" to have the old points extended. He has sent an email to back office and I expect a positive response within 2 days.
He laughed when I asked if I still had to do the 30k transfer...."not if you don't want to" 🙂

:) I ask because I had asked about a month ago for an extension and they had said no. Curious to see whether your comes back positive.

Hmm.. interesting.
> Also Asia Miles have advised me that if I rang them (from Australia # 131747) before expiry they would extend the miles for 12 months.
So no confirmation that that went through as well. I will give them a ring and report back.

I did this, from Amex, and nothing happened. No point life extension and no response. A total scam???

I would follow up on the phone. The guy I dealt with was terrific.
I did notice that not all cards came up on the initial list of "partners" but it grew over time. I assume you got in within the prescribed expiry date?

I'm a bit of a newby to Asia Miles. Is there a telephone number? Is it on the site? I've used chat line and Whats App? can you call the Whats app number?

Well I called Asia Miles. after a couple of attempts, including being dropped "because you have been waiting on line too long....yes they said my wait time had expired!!!! Trying again, I was told by the operator that yes they had the transaction and my Miles would be extended within 6 to 12 weeks of the end of the offer! No I could not get that confirmed by email, they have no external email facility. I got her name and a couple of transaction number.
The problem is 280k points expire before the 12 weeks period. Do I trust them? Do I wait? Very few reward flights available if any. CX are not flying much! Also hard to use with partners.
So should I just cash them for Gift Cards? Nowhere near the value of flights, and I really want to travel on the points in 2023.
Any similar experience. Has anyone had there points expiry date extended under this offer?

I have confidence that they will do the right thing but of course it's your decision. Yes I agree CX are a bit of a waste of time ATM especially with the 7 day quarantine period in HKG but apparently all airline rewards are difficult right now

You could just try the "12 months expiry extension" phone call. I rang them and my points were extended the same day. Mind you the points had been used on flights that had been cancelled by Cathay.

Just to complete the story. asia Miles delivered on the points life extension. So now my points are renewable, I just need to get CX flying again with seat availability and asia open for travelers.
