Hi guys,

Had a quick search but couldn't see much about this.

Anyone got much experience using Asia miles for QF flights? Appears possible via their website and for much less points than a typical QFF booking, I've made the jump to Asia miles via my AMEX so am yet to use any.

Any advice or tips?

Thanks
Matt

You just need to call up Asia Miles hotline to book QF flights. Usually you can book it on CX miles QF classic award engine shows award availability. I did it for domestic QF flights a while ago to burn my nearly expired Asia Miles. There was no telephone booking fee charged, unlike QF.

Cool! Thanks - and I presume all this for the reduced "Asia Miles" rates?

I wish I had changed over sooner :( now I have nearly 300,000 QFF that could be much more effectively used as Asia Miles :(

It is whatever they have on their redemption chart:

Asia Miles - Redeem Miles*>*Flight Awards

So yes it is definitely less than QF in general. Eg:

- SYD-HKG J return on CX/QF is 80K Asia Miles, but 120K QFF.
- SYD-NRT J return on QF/JL is 80K Asia Miles, but 144K QFF.
- SYD-LAX J return on QF is 120K Asia Miles, but 192K QFF
- 35000 miles OW J award: 190K Asia Miles, but 280K QFF.

I only collect QFF points because it is easy to collect. I try to keep my Amex MR points and transfer to CX if required.
