We avoid storm cells by about 20nm as a minimum. This was quite intense and ATC did a good job of managing the traffic at peak hour. We only experienced a few bumps mid way through the descent as we entered cloud. Once we were in clear air again it wasn't too bad. We managed to get out again before they really hit and it was bumpy on the climb out for maybe 1-2 mins as we came out of the cloud tops.
