I was unhappy to get stiffed for 180k of points by Citi Select Kris but looking back at the results from all the successful transactions I am a very happy person.
You just need to stay flexible and play the game well.
You can forget the idea of using Amex direct branded cards as they have nothing for us (cost is 2.9 cents per point).
