Aus to Lax in Jan 2014

Hi everyone,

need to be in L.A from Jan 10 - 12 next year. I have used all but 22,000 of my velocity points, so need to pay cash but all the flights as so expensive this time of year. I live in Hobart, but can leave from Melbourne or Sydney for a better deal.

I'm open to any ideas / suggestions & thank you in advance
