Being a novice at int. could someone confirm for me that DJs only real Asian partner is MH? Is MH a partner yet as they don't appear on DJs website (except as an Interline partner) but DJ does show up on MH web site for miles earnings.

I've been noticing a lot of attractive holidays on offer in various Asian destinations, so what's the options to hopefully get miles and SCs credited back to my Velocity membership, but still allow a reasonable choice of Asian destinations??

If your taking holidays this Xmas then MAS makes sense, after that the SQ, MAS have some great J fares to Europe at present, the SC earn in place with DJ make them so tempting, it will be a pity to see them go to Oneworld in that respect, as I doubt you will ever see similar offers from SQ.

I hope MAS stays partners with VA :(
There are many Star Alliance, SkyTeam and Oneworld airlines, who have relationships outside of their alliance. Because MAS always has the BEST business class fare, in June this year I scored a $4,500 return airfare to London, when Qantas was selling premium economy for $5,000+ and other airlines were selling their business seats for $7,000+.

Bummer. I'm not really thinking as soon as Christmas. I'm obviously A-about, as I thought SQ were outgoing and MH incoming. Does anyone know yet what the SQ deal might entail (miles/SCs)?

I wish we could have both :) but nope, MH is breaking up with Virgin and Singapore is the new tie-up, because I guess it made sense since Singapore is a majority shareholder of Virgin Atlantic.
