And now Qantas (and Virgin Blue) have extended their current sales until Midnight 29th October.
Australia Explorer Sale
Seats are on sale until midnight Monday 29 October 2007 (AEST) unless sold out earlier.

These one way specials are valid for travel from Tuesday 15 January to Saturday 15 March 2008, and from Tuesday 29 April to Thursday 26 June 2008.

Hurry, seats are limited.

Interesting that I received the email for the extension of the explorer sale at 6:00pm tonight, more than 24 hours after this post!

After purchasing the airfares for the Queensland mining towns tour I have run out of stamina.

All that is needed now is tickets for Ozfest V in Hobart. Since I will qualify Platinum easily is it worth spending ~$305 on a QF return SYD-MEL-HBA or ~$178 on a DJ return SYD-HBA-MEL-SYD?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Only you can answer that.

Personally, I'd save the $127 and go DJ; spend some of your savings on an inflight DJ beverage or three ...

You still have access to the QP's (including the one at SYD T2). Note the HBA QP closes after the last QF/JQ flight which may be somewhat earlier than the the Last DJ flight.
