Hi everyone

I have been looking for some time for availability of business class classic reward seats in early June MEL- HKG. None are available at present but I'm hoping that someone cancels.

Naturally this requires me to periodically check the Qantas search engine to see if anything has come available.

Is there any system or app that will allow me to automate my regular searches? In other words lets say I know I want to fly Cathay MEL-HKG in J on 1 June and I'm waiting for classic award availability. Can I somehow set a system or app to periodically check for me and then text or email me when an award seat becomes available?

Thanks Peter

ExpertFlyer does this, but not for CX.

AwardNexus can do so, but it is rather expensive (IMHO).

Not sure about KVS for regular searches or CX.

Don’t know if it helps you but last week I found awards on CX ADL-HKG and there was pretty good availability in early June when I was searching. Was less availability for the return but managed to find some

I think Award Nexus is the only option for Cathay Pacific searches. It will cost some money, but will also save you lots of time.

Don't forget that there are various Award Nexus discounts available to AFF members: Free Award Nexus Community Account

After some further research I worked out that the flights to Hong Kong from east coast capitals tend to be daytime flights. As I prefer to fly in J nightime the small diversion to Adelaide is worth the trouble so I put in my booking today. :)
