Previously I was crediting my Avis rentals to QFF. In May I switched my earnings to KF as part of implementing the Westpac KF card.

QFF earn on $163 rental - 231 pts
KF earn on $102 rental - 500 pts

The amount of money spent is irrevelent in this case, you get 500 KF miles whether you spend $1 or $1M, its per rental and not based on $$$ spent. Outside of Australia QF credits are 700pts per rental, you also obviously need to factor in the value per point per program

Thanks for that. I was suspicious on that nice round "500" pts. I only rent in Australia so that will be a bonus for me.

If I was going to have $1M of rental I'd make sure to charge it on Krisflyer Amex before 31 October and get the triple points as well as the Avis 500 pts.

This KF program is becoming addictive, first I am looking forward to paying BAS on Amex and now I can even enjoy renting cars.

Yep that is right, 3mil KF points from the CC and 500 KF points from AVIS.

I was referring the the fact that using you QF number with AVIS would get you 3 points per dollar from AVIS, rather then a flat 500 KF points.

Hence 3 mil KF points from the CC spend and 3 mil QF points for the car hire.
