I'm looking for either BNE-SYD-SCL or BNE-AKL-SCL. Preferably PE but will go Y if I have to. There seems to be nothing on QF past August on QF 27 except that expensive new one Classic Plus which is 204k.

Is there a pattern to QF loading award seats? Is the new thing that they only give classic awards closer to departure?

I have found Qantas Premium Economy on this route when booking 1-2 months out. But if you can't find anything on QF, do also consider LATAM from SYD, MEL or AKL to SCL.

Another trick search just for AKL-SCL on days that Latam operate it. I also used the multi city search as for some reason the default search engine seems to not show all LA flights. There is also availability ex MEL on LA some days.

I succeeded in getting 2J SYD-AKLxSCL//SCL-AKL-SYD in May.

There doesn't seem to be anything on LA from SYD, MEL or AKL. I am looking at mid October. Only thing I can find is a few routes via the USA but only in economy with taxes of $470 which seems ridiculous!

I am coming home via the USA and have all those routes booked using AA and DL miles which are cancellable and miles refundable worst case scenario. Just very stressful waiting to see if QF or LA release seats between Australia and SCL.

Whatever happened to that calendar display where you get a full month of availability and different coloured icons to represent Y, PE, J, F?

Use the multi city search option to see the calendar view
