Hi All,

Is there a way to search for QFF awards using a calendar function - filtering by class?

There is currently the 'See other dates' option, however it displays availability in any class (mostly Y), where as I would only like to search for J.

If not, is there a way to pull up the old search tool that allowed you to search availability for specific class(es)?

Yes.

If you click the check box “flexible with dates” the search results will display in calendar view.

There will be different coloured icons representing the class.

Note this is for browser based searching. The app works differently.

The AA website also has a solid award availability calendar if you're interested in oneworld partners.

I'm not seeing that, only a red icon if there is 'any' award seat available.

I then need to click on each date to see if there is a business seat available.

What I'm really after is the way results were previously displayed (OLD-SEARCH.png).

Am I missing something?

Thanks for the tip. I had tried AA but it seemed to be pulling up phantom J availability (available most dates in March for PER-BNE) which resulted in an error when I tried to book.

I can't get the calendar to appear anymore either actually - Qantas might have turned it off (inadvertently or otherwise)

There's usually a "See other dates" link at the top of the page which you can also click to load the calendar. Right now, that link appears very briefly while the page is loading, then disappears.

Just tried to do some searches for award availability on the Qantas website - what a nightmare! They've definitely changed something, and it's not an improvement.

Must be recent. I used that functionality just yesterday. :(

If it’s a permanent enhancement it will make finding award seats much more difficult especially as the BA site has not been showing partner awards lately.

I've been searching over the past few days and sometimes I get one version, sometimes the other. And most times, somewhere in there, the usual array of errors. I really hope the old calendar version doesn't disappear altogether. 🤞

We're back in business... (or first, or premium). ;)

Have tried a variety of destinations and dates.

Have you searched from any AU exit point. I have been checking daily as I am looking for the international sectors e.g. HND-LHR, LHR-JFK/BOS, all the legs starting in AU e.g SYD-HND, MEL-xx_ etc. it brings up the QF view and that is proving to be painful. As @Mattg mentioned this is not an improvement.

What about expert flyer, is that any help to you

No. But I’ve just had a loot at that and I’m now getting the same view.

Perhaps it’s something to do with ex AU departures.

I agree AA site great but for the novices, it needs to be said that award availability on one world carrier does not necessarily mean that QF offers it as an award - eg Cascablanca to Heathrow this august - 2 J awards on American on many dates - but nil on Qantas at all !
The BAEC site does seem to be more closely aligned with QF award availability.

Did you try calling Qantas to book the Royal Air Maroc seats? The QF website doesn't seem to display any J availability for that airline on any route, for some reason, but it *should* be bookable by calling up.
